Attendance

NEW - Olympus Attendance Awareness Month - November 2025

Did you know that health related absences can often be avoided?

Health-related absences are one of the top reasons children miss so many days of school and this can mean that they are at risk of becoming persistently absent. Of course, occasional absences related to health reasons are to be expected. But absences can quickly add up and habits of missing school can start to affect learning and social inclusion. You might not be sure about when to send your child to school with a particular illness- check out the NHS website (link below) for lots more information on this.

We do know that parents and carers worry about their children’s mental health. Rather than keeping your child off school, let us know about your concerns. We can then work together on supporting your child.
