Enrichment Week was cancelled during July 2020 due to the Covid 19 situation. We have now put together a toned down version for 2021 but still allowing students to get out in the fresh air and try some new experiences!
Y7 Enrichment Week - 24 June 2021
Y8 Enrichment Week - 24 June 2021
Y9 Enrichment Week - 24 June 2021
Y10 Enrichment Week - 24 June 2021
** Dear Parents/Carers,
We have had some queries asking whether their students have to do both activities, the short answer is yes. This is due to a number of reasons:
- Due to the National Covid restrictions in place, it has been a monumental effort to organise activities that meet the stringent Covid guidelines for Schools in a very short time line. We appreciate that some of these activities might not be enjoyed by all students, but they are an opportunity to socialise with their Year group and make new friends, after a very long year of being isolated at home.
- Schools continue to work in Year group bubbles, so students cannot spend prolonged time with other year groups. So we are limited on the choice of activities that we can offer.
- The activities are designed to be fun and engaging, that involved students being outside in the fresh air and away from technology, most indoor activities are not possible at this time.
In terms of why we have split the Year 7s in to boys and girls.
We are following a two National initiative that have been specifically designed like this. These programmes are specifically designed to improve girls confidence and ambition and improve boys literacy levels and engagement in English.
Therefore to enable these trips to run successful we need all students to take part in all activities organised, any students that do not return the consent form/payment will be in school doing a limited curriculum of English, Maths and Science with our cover team.
Enrichment week is the last week of term 19 - 22 July 2021.
